Steps using pressure cooker
You can also cook this in a Karahi or Wok using the same recipe and following these steps, it will take longer for chicken to cook.
  • Heat the oil in the cooker
  • Add onions, tomatoes, corainder, salt and garam masala to the pot
  • Fry for one to two minutes and add chicken, red and green chillies, garlic and ginger
  • Cook for 10 miutes on medium heat, the tomatoes and onions would start leashing  water
  • Do not pressure cook but simply cover the  pot and cook down the water on high heat , this will evaporate any smell of chicken
  • When the water has cooked down add 3/4 cup of water
  • Pressure cook for 5 minutes, if not using pressure cooker time till the chicken is cooked and is tender
  • Open the pressure cooker when safe and add bell pepper
  • Cook for another two to three minutes till the bell pepper is sauted
  • Make sure that there is no water left, if there is water cook down the water on medium heat
  • Garnish with cilantro and serve hot
