Assemble all ingredients
Soak basmati rice for atleast 20 minutes
Take a pot and slightly coat it with oil, ghee
Add minced meat and fry it for a minute. Add the spices shown in the video. Chilli powder, corrainder powder, garam masala, turmeric, salt, ginger, garlic. Slice the tomatoes and add to the pot. Let it cook for 2 to 3 minutes. The meat will leave water, cook down the water and make sure that the dish is dry. Stir frequently so that the keema does not stick to the bottom. Watch video
When the waer is all dry add 2 spoon of yogurt and cook it down again. When there is no water this part is ready set aside.
In another pot boil enough water, see video. When the water comes to a boil add cloves, cardimom and a pinch of saffron. Now add soaked rice. Be careful not to spill the hot water, you may burn yourself if you do that. Add salt to the water.
Let it boil for 3 minutes - remove and strain all the water out immediately. The rice should be eldente. Not fully cooked.
Take a pot put the first layer of 1/2 the rice, add a layer of cooked keema, add cilantro and mint leaves, cover this with the remaining cooked rice. Cover it and set aside.
In a frying pan fry the sliced onion till golden brown - watch video
Add the fried onions to the biryani pot, cook for 2 minutes on high heat and then lower the heat to low and let it cook for 30 minutes.
The Biryani is ready after 30 minutes, mix it well before serving. Enjoy.
